How do you feel being a single parent?
Its tough being a single parent. You have to wear 2 hats - Mom and Dad.
How many children do you have, and how old are they?
I have one child - an 8 year old boy.
How do you get outside support from friends, family, and community groups? (Babysitting, financial or otherwise)
You have to ask for help. It is rarely just offered up to you.
If you are able to work while raising children by yourself, how do you manage the two very important commitments?
I own my own online business so I can pretty much schedule my hours of work. Things do get preety crazy sometimes but my son understands and even helps out once in a while.
Are your employer, landlord and others able to understand and accommodate your unique needs?
I have not hany unique needs as of yet but I am confident nothing would be a problem if something came up.
How is healthcare and dental work afforded?
Being in Canada, healthcare is provided to all citizens. Dental is adifferent storey - it is paid out of pocket and is extremely expensive.
What led you to the decision to becoming a single parent? (Or what circumstances forced you into this difficult position?)
The decision was not mine.
