I personally find it disgusting that some parents use a state's safe haven law to dump their children--some as old as 17--in that state's hospitals.One such state that has experienced this kind of dumping is Nebraska, which used to not set a limit to the age of children being abandoned. Due to this, the state introduced a resolution limiting the legal abandonment up to 30 days since birth of the child. Nebraska was embarrassed, I suppose.
