When laws are too vague, they get abused. That is what we discover after reports of massive child-leaving in Nebraska got people crossing borders just to leave their TEENAGERS in the hospitals.
The Nebraskan safe haven law used the term "child" instead of an actual age limit, making it open to interpretation. Thus ending up with 17-year-old being left under the custody of the hospital.
Soon there will be stories of uhaul being out of trucks as families pack up and move to Nebraska to dump off their teenagers.
Make Nebraska should move into the 21st century and accept teenagers via mail!
