What inspired you to launch your own website?
As I have a little girl of my own I decided that the 9-5 job did not fit my life style anymore, I found that I needed more flexibility within my work and by working for myself and developing my own website gives me all the flexibility I need.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I have no other websites, this is my only one.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
After a lot of research into my theme I decided that I wanted to make my site as easy and user friendly as possible, keeping things simple for the visitors, creating ideas and tips that flow and are not disjointed in anyway. So the word Simplicity was born, with the main wording being about the site BabyShower.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I have tried to keep things simple, giving the visitors a well rounded site that offers a total package, giving them the opportunity to take all my ideas on board or select individual areas/ideas to add depth to their party festivities.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To keep creating great content for my visitors and earn a penny or two as I go.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
My site has given me personal success as I now know I CAN build and create my own website with great content for people to enjoy.
So my answer is simple, my personal success totally outweighs the amount of time and money I have spent on creating my site.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Not sure on this one at the moment.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None up to now.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Learning how to develop and create a website.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
As my site fairly new the major search engines are one of main promotional avenues, I have started to develop my off page criteria by securing both outgoing and incoming links and I am sure that as my site grows my promotional ideas and links will grow with it.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
My expectations have not really changed.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site is a couple of months old and I really enjoy doing it, I think I will be creating new content for years to come.
