We are a family owned business specializing in baby bedding sets and baby nursery murals
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have 2 children of my own and I have seen first hand how hard it is to get quality cribs or any other nursery items for that matter, so I decided to start an online nursery shop
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
this is my first website and I started it back in 2007
How did you decide on a name for your website?
My good friend thought up the idea and it just so happened that the domain name was open.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
That we offer a wide variety of nursery items while staying relevant to baby products.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
keep it and try to make a little bit of income off of it.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
not very well right not LOL. but I do understand that it takes time to actually see money come back in off of a website.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would definitely put out more money for graphics and usability.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes. I have alot of support behind me and I am a very strong person.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
A couple of scam artists took me under when I first started. They made out with over $13,000 dollars. I was distraught and emotionally wrecked but being the person that I am, I got back on my feet and bootstrapped the rest of my site.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Money
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Directories and SEO work that I have my friends who own an SEO company doing. They have been a grat help.. Thanks guys.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The money didn't come in quite as fast as I wanted it to but like I said before. I never give up.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I will keep it up for as long as I can possibly afford to. I am very in debt right now and while $6.00 a month might not be much to alot of people it is something to me. Remember I have 2 kids
